Gary addresses students at the National Student Leadership Conference, a non-profit, non-partisan educational organization dedicated to the development of exceptional high school students from around the country.

Gary’s talk focused on being an attorney and leaving that field to follow his passion. His experience as an artist and art director and what it means to make your living as an artist.

The NSLC is a non-profit, non-partisan educational organization dedicated to the development of exceptional high school students from around the country, and even some international students, by educating and preparing them for leadership roles in society. In a challenging learning environment, we encourage the exchange of ideas, personal growth and team building.

The Inside the Arts program allows students to gain leadership skills and knowledge through guest speakers, fieldtrips, leadership sessions and a simulation project. The students will spend 6 days exploring architecture, fine art, music and theatre in Washington, DC, with a focus on how to become a professional in the arts. This fall Inside the Arts will welcome about 25 students to our conference in Bethesda, Maryland. It is my goal to have each student motivated and enlightened in the field of the arts. In order to accomplish this, I need guest speakers who currently have a career in the arts, experience to share, feel passionately about what they do and want to share their expertise, enthusiasm and knowledge of their “Life as an Artist”. See www.nslcleaders.org. for more information on this program.”
